Patterns

When One Insight Reveals How Much More There Is

You've had a realization.

Maybe it came during a single coaching session, or in a quiet moment when something finally clicked. You saw a pattern you couldn't unsee—the way one issue connects to another, how the same protective strategy shows up in your business decisions and your personal relationships, why certain situations always leave you feeling the same way.

And now you're noticing: this isn't just about one thing. It's about everything.

You could address each challenge as it arises, treating them as separate problems. But you're starting to sense they're not separate at all. They're threads of the same few core patterns, woven through your whole life.

What if, instead of managing symptoms, you could work with the patterns themselves? What if you could follow the threads and see where they lead—not in a single conversation, but over time, with space to try things, notice what shifts, and keep going deeper?

That's what extended coaching makes possible

Why Surface Solutions Don't Last

When we recognize a problem, most of us want to fix it quickly:

We make a decision and feel relieved—until a similar situation appears and we're stuck all over again. We changed the circumstance without understanding the pattern, so the pattern just finds a new place to show up.

We implement a solution that works for a while, then gradually stops working. Without addressing what created the need for that solution in the first place, we end up right back where we started.

We gain an insight that feels powerful in the moment, but struggle to apply it when life gets complicated again. Insight without integration fades, leaving us frustrated that we "know better" but can't seem to do better.

This isn't a failure of willpower or commitment. It's what happens when we're working with deep patterns using shallow interventions

What You Really Need (and How Extended Work Provides iIt)

Real transformation doesn't come from fixing individual problems—it comes from understanding the systems that create them.

When you work with someone over time, you can:

Follow the threads. That insight about your business boundaries? It connects to how you learned to keep yourself safe as a child. The perfectionism that exhausts you professionally? It's the same mechanism that keeps you stuck in personal relationships. Extended work lets us trace these connections and address patterns at their source, not just their symptoms.

Try things and adjust. Between sessions, you experiment with new ways of being. Sometimes they work beautifully. Sometimes they don't quite fit. Either way, you bring what you're learning back to our next conversation, and we build on what works while adjusting what doesn't. This is how lasting change actually happens—through iteration, not installation.

Create ripple effects. When you shift something fundamental about how you see yourself or navigate the world, that shift touches everything. Your professional decisions become clearer. Your personal relationships feel different. The chronic exhaustion starts to lift. Extended work creates space for these ripple effects to unfold and deepen over time.

Build self-trust that holds. One powerful insight can redirect your path. But developing confidence in your ability to navigate whatever comes—that requires practice, repetition, and someone witnessing your growth as you experience it yourself. Over five sessions, you'll see patterns you couldn't see before and realize you can move through them differently. That changes everything.

This is what I bring to our work together: I trust that you already have wisdom inside you—my role is simply to help you access it. My 25+ years as a dog trainer taught me to read what's happening beneath behavior, and my training in how humans create meaning and change helps me understand both the unique pressures of pet professional life and the internal patterns that keep us stuck. But more than that, I'll come to know your story, understand your specific challenges, and help you grow into a more tuned-in version of yourself.

What Unfolds Across Five Sessions

Deep familiarity with your patterns

By our second or third session, I'll have heard enough of your story to recognize patterns when they reappear—how certain situations trigger similar responses, which themes keep surfacing, what matters most to you.

Space to experiment between sessions

You'll try new approaches in your actual life—different ways of responding, thinking, or being. Then you bring what you're learning back to our next conversation. We celebrate what's working, explore what isn't, and adjust from there.

Momentum that builds on itself

Each session creates insights that inform the next one. Small shifts compound over time. What felt impossible in session one often feels obvious by session four—not because you changed everything, but because you changed the right things.

Integration across your whole life

The patterns we work with don't stay neatly confined to one area. As you shift how you show up professionally, you'll notice changes in your personal relationships. As you learn to trust yourself more deeply, decisions that once paralyzed you become navigable. This is the ripple effect of working with core patterns rather than surface symptoms.

Ongoing support as you grow

You won't carry your insights alone. Throughout our time together, I'm available for questions and support as you navigate what emerges. Five sessions give us room to work with whatever unfolds—the breakthroughs, the stuck places, and everything in between.

Colleen's loving support gave me the confidence to not only expand my business, but also make some challenging, life-changing decisions in my personal life. I wholeheartedly endorse Colleen as a coach!

Common Questions

How do the five sessions work? Do I schedule them all at once?

You have complete flexibility. After you complete your purchase, you'll receive an email with everything you need to schedule your sessions. You can book all five at once if you prefer to have them on your calendar, or schedule them one at a time as you go. Some people like the structure of scheduling ahead; others prefer to see how each session unfolds before booking the next. Either approach works perfectly—you get to decide what feels right for you.

How often should I schedule sessions?

The five sessions are yours to use within 12 months, and you can schedule them however works best for you. That said, this work builds on itself most powerfully when sessions are close enough that insights stay fresh—similar to dog training, where you want lessons spaced far enough apart for practice, but close enough that learning compounds. Most people find meeting every 2-6 weeks hits that sweet spot, though some work more intensively and others need more space. Listen to what your system needs.

What if I'm not sure I need five sessions? Should I start with one?

That's a perfectly reasonable approach. Many people begin with a single session to experience how coaching shifts their perspective, then decide whether extended work feels right. If you're genuinely uncertain, starting with one session gives you direct experience to inform your decision. But if you're already sensing that your challenges connect to deeper patterns—if you recognize that addressing one issue won't be enough—then five sessions give you the space to work with those patterns at their source.

How is this different from five separate single sessions?

The difference is in the continuity and depth. When we work together over time, I come to know your story, your patterns, and how you uniquely make meaning. This familiarity lets us go deeper faster—I can help you see connections you might miss, and you don't have to re-explain context every time we talk. Between sessions, you'll experiment with new approaches and bring what you're learning back to our next conversation. This creates a rhythm of insight, action, integration, and deeper insight that simply isn't possible in disconnected single sessions.

What happens during each session?

Each 90-minute session begins wherever you are. Sometimes you'll want to explore something new that's emerged. Sometimes we'll build on insights from our previous conversation. Sometimes you'll share what happened when you tried a different approach, and we'll work with what you discovered. There's no predetermined curriculum—we follow what's most alive for you while staying attuned to the deeper patterns we're working with together. Most sessions feel like meaningful conversations that happen to create profound shifts.

Will I have support between sessions?

Yes. Throughout our time working together, you're welcome to reach out with questions or insights that arise between sessions. While our scheduled sessions are where the deeper work happens, knowing you can check in if something important comes up provides valuable support as you navigate changes in your daily life.

What  if life gets complicated and I can't use all five sessions within 12 months.

Life does get complicated. If you find yourself approaching that mark with sessions remaining, reach out and let's talk about what's happening.

Ready to go Deeper?

You already know there's more here to explore.

The patterns you're noticing, the connections you're starting to see, the sense that addressing one thing won't be enough—trust that knowing. Five sessions give you space to follow the threads, experiment with new ways of being, and create changes that ripple through your whole life.

You get to decide if this feels right for where you are. If it does, I'm here.

Extended work creates transformation that touches everything—not because you fix every problem, but because you shift the patterns that create them. When you change something fundamental about how you see yourself, everything else begins to shift too.

Not Sure Which Option Fits You Best?

That makes sense. You're considering working together, and it's important to feel clear about what you actually need.

If you're uncertain whether you need extended work or a single session would serve you better, you might start with one session. Many people begin there to experience how coaching shifts their perspective, then choose whether to continue based on what emerges. There's no pressure either way—single sessions also create real, lasting change.
